SOME JOURNALIST’S INTEGRITY IS IN QUESTION IN AFRICA
It is important to note that while there may be some journalists in Africa who do not fulfill their role of informing the public and holding those in power accountable, it is not fair to generalize and say that all journalists in Africa are like this. There are many dedicated and hardworking journalists in Africa who strive to uncover the truth and report on important issues.
That being said, it is true that some journalists in Africa may compromise their journalistic integrity by accepting bribes or other forms of financial or material support from politicians or other powerful individuals. This can lead to biased reporting and a failure to hold those in power accountable for their actions.
One reason why some journalists in Africa may be susceptible to such behavior is because of the challenging economic environment in which they operate. Many media organizations in Africa struggle to stay afloat due to limited resources and a lack of financial support. In such an environment, journalists may feel pressure to accept financial support from politicians or other sources in order to keep their jobs and continue reporting.
However, it is important for journalists to maintain their independence and integrity in order to fulfill their crucial role in society. Journalists have a responsibility to report the truth, hold those in power accountable, and serve as watchdogs for the public. When journalists compromise this role by accepting bribes or other forms of financial support, they do a disservice to their profession and to society as a whole.
In Kenya, particularly in Garissa county, some politician oppress journalists in Garissa Town, while others are spoiled in a manner that’s unprofessional, they enjoy huge amount of salary from top powerful politician in the national government.
In Garissa there are no autonomous, free, and independent journalists who can air the socio-economic, discrimination, scarcity of water and irresponsibility of elected politicians .
Good and free journalism should be voice of voiceless and challenge elected politicians, not just pleasing them and depending handouts from powerful politician from national government
“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both.” [Quran, 4:135]

Tribe is top-quality key in Africa politics
Tribe is of sociology defined as a social group bound together by kin and duly associated with a particular territory; members of tribe shares alot of common things and origins .
The use of tribalism or ethnicity in politics is unfortunately a common phenomenon in many parts of Africa, and it is not unique to the continent. It is often used by politicians to exploit the loyalty and support of people who identify strongly with their tribe or ethnic group. By appealing to people’s sense of tribal identity, politicians can gain the support of a large number of voters who may feel that their interests and values are best represented by someone from their own tribe.
Tribalism can also be used to create divisions between different groups in society, which can be useful for politicians who want to consolidate their power base. By portraying themselves as the champion of one particular tribe or ethnic group, politicians can create a sense of “us versus them” that can be used to rally support and mobilize voters.
Not all is lost in the jungles but still there is hope at end of the tunnel, not all the politicians uses tribe to hunt votes and others are using some unique ways to influence like building Islamic schools and initiating fundraising for sick ones .
However, the use of tribalism in politics can also be highly divisive and can lead to conflict and violence, particularly in societies where different ethnic groups have a history of conflict. It can also undermine the development of a strong sense of national identity, which is essential for building a cohesive and stable society.
Not all is lost in the jungles, there are hopes at the end of the tunnel, some upcoming politicians are doing tremendous work for their society by building highly demand institutions like hospitals, fundraising to the sick ones and many more
Tribe is good when it’s uses in the right directions like helping the relative for contributing some money but in other ways tribes dirty it divide the society and politicians enjoy the seat .
Beautiful girl is worth a camel
Camels are very important to Somalis, both culturally, economically and socially. They are often referred to as the “ship of the desert” because of their ability to survive and thrive in the harsh arid conditions of Somalia and other desert regions. Here are some reasons why camels are important to Somalis: weddings won’t happened without Camel slaughtered in Somalia and the neighboring countries, during the honeymoon, without Camel milk and its meats which “odka’a” ,it’s not special for the new couples
1. Transportation: Camels are the primary means of transportation in many parts of Somalia, especially in the rural areas. They are used to carry people, goods, and water over long distances during migration, since Somalis pastoralists, they move from one place to another
2. Milk and meat: Camels provide an important source of food and nutrition for Somalis. Camel milk is highly nutritious and is consumed fresh or fermented. Camel meat is also a popular food, especially during festivals and other special occasions.
3. Trade: Camels are a valuable commodity and are often traded or sold for other goods or money. They are also used to transport goods from one place to another, especially in the remote areas where roads are scarce.
4. Social and cultural significance: Camels are deeply ingrained in Somali culture and are often featured in traditional songs, dances, and art. They are also used as a symbol of wealth and status, with the number of camels owned being seen as a measure of a person’s wealth and prestige.
Overall, camels are a vital part of Somali life and culture. They provide food, transport, and income, and are deeply valued by the Somali people.

Necessity is the mother of invention
Necessity is the mother of all invention.Lack of Baby bucket popularly known as “tunji” among Somalis has resulted mothers to placing their feet together and the baby sits on the feet and in the little space between the feet passes their stool in order to relief their bowels. This has been a long existing culture among the Somalis and helps to train babies how to sit from a very tender age by strengthening their pelvic bone and pelvic floor muscles.
The endless support, influence of a mother in the lives of her children is beyond imagination and extrapolation .
The immediate teachers at every household is a mother and without mother ,there is gap that will never fill up, with respect to that ,mothers are fundamentally good trainers, shows the does and don’t in life, when life is hard and unbearable to mothers, they have audacity take risk to make life better for beloved children.
The Picture below is a skillful mother, who hustling and struggling in the Dadaab refugees camps, a resilient mother who doesn’t have some shillings to buy Bucket Potty Seat for her child
Life is beautiful with your mother, life is incomplete without your beautiful mother

UN chief on IA
Recently, the chief of a prominent industry group proposed that a watchdog group be established to monitor the use of AI technology. The reasoning behind this proposal is that AI is becoming increasingly sophisticated and is capable of making decisions and taking actions that can affect human lives in significant ways. There is therefore a growing concern that AI could be misused or manipulated, either intentionally or unintentionally, with potentially disastrous consequences.
The proposed watchdog group would be responsible for monitoring the development, deployment, and use of AI technology, with the goal of ensuring that it is used responsibly and transparently. This could involve developing guidelines for ethical AI use, establishing standards for AI safety and security, and investigating any reported incidents of AI misuse or malfunction.
The idea of a watchdog group for AI is not new, and there are already several organizations in existence that are working on these issues. However, the proposal from the industry chief highlights the growing recognition of the importance of responsible AI use and the need for continued oversight as the technology continues to evolve.
